Terms of Use

By accessing or using HaulBadge ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and all policies incorporated herein. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These terms apply to all visitors, carriers, brokers, vehicle owners, shippers, and anyone who accesses HaulBadge in any capacity.

HaulBadge is an information and verification platform for the auto transport industry. We provide:

• Free DOT/MC number lookup using publicly available FMCSA data.
• Voluntary carrier and broker verification — insurance, identity, and authority checks.
• HaulBadge IDs and QR codes for verified carriers to use at pickup.
• Online reputation scanning and aggregation of publicly available review data.

HaulBadge is NOT a broker, carrier, freight company, insurance company, or government agency. We do not arrange, facilitate, insure, or guarantee any shipment. We are an information and verification service only.

HaulBadge is NOT a licensed insurance verification service. Our AI-assisted insurance document review is an automated advisory tool only and does not constitute a professional insurance audit, certification, or guarantee of coverage.

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT SIGNIFICANTLY AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS.

HaulBadge verification does not guarantee the performance, honesty, reliability, identity, insurance coverage, or conduct of any carrier, broker, or individual. A "verified" status on HaulBadge means only that the carrier submitted documents that passed our automated and/or manual review process at the time of submission. It is not an endorsement, certification, guarantee, or warranty of any kind.

You must always perform your own independent due diligence before releasing any vehicle, making any payment, or entering into any transportation agreement — regardless of whether a carrier or broker is HaulBadge verified, has a high trust score, or shows a green signal on our platform.

Phunded LLC (operating as HaulBadge), its officers, employees, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for any of the following, whether or not the carrier or broker was HaulBadge verified:

• Vehicle theft, damage, loss, or destruction during transport
• Fraud, misrepresentation, or criminal conduct by any carrier, broker, or driver
• Failure of a carrier or broker to perform as agreed
• Double brokering, unauthorized assignment, or chain-of-custody issues
• Expired, fraudulent, or insufficient insurance coverage
• Identity fraud or impersonation by any party
• Any financial loss, consequential damages, or indirect damages of any kind

Maximum liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, HaulBadge's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to HaulBadge in the 30 days preceding the claim. For free tier users, this amount is zero dollars ($0).

HaulBadge uses artificial intelligence (AI), including third-party AI services such as OpenAI, to analyze uploaded documents including insurance Certificates of Insurance (COI) and government-issued identification documents. By submitting documents through HaulBadge, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

• AI analysis is automated and may contain errors. The AI may misread, misinterpret, or fail to detect issues in documents. Results are advisory only.
• AI analysis is not a professional review. HaulBadge's document analysis does not constitute a professional insurance audit, legal identity verification, or licensed background check.
• Documents are processed by third-party AI. Uploaded documents are transmitted to OpenAI's API for analysis. By uploading documents, you consent to this processing. We do not store document images longer than necessary for analysis.
• AI results may be incorrect. A document that passes AI review may still be fraudulent, expired, or insufficient. A document that fails AI review may still be valid. All results require human judgment.
• HaulBadge is not liable for AI errors. We are not responsible for any decision made in reliance on AI-generated document analysis results.

DOT lookup results are sourced from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) public database, maintained by the U.S. Department of Transportation. HaulBadge makes no warranty that this data is current, complete, accurate, or error-free. FMCSA data may be delayed, outdated, or incorrect. Always verify carrier information directly with the FMCSA at safer.fmcsa.dot.gov before making any transportation decision.

HaulBadge is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the FMCSA, U.S. Department of Transportation, or any government agency.

HaulBadge may display online reputation data, reviews, and complaint information sourced from public web searches and third-party websites. This information is provided for informational purposes only. HaulBadge does not verify the accuracy of third-party reviews or complaints and is not responsible for their content. The presence or absence of complaints in our reputation scan does not constitute a guarantee of a company's trustworthiness or lack thereof.

If you register as a carrier or broker on HaulBadge, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, truthful, and current information during onboarding.
• Upload only genuine documents — insurance COIs, government IDs, and authority letters must be authentic and currently valid.
• Notify HaulBadge promptly if your insurance lapses, your authority changes, or any submitted information becomes inaccurate.
• Not share your HaulBadge QR code with other carriers, drivers, or unauthorized parties.
• Not attempt to manipulate, game, or deceive the verification system.

Submitting fraudulent documents or false information is a federal crime and grounds for immediate permanent ban. HaulBadge reserves the right to report suspected fraud to relevant law enforcement authorities.

HaulBadge is a tool to assist your research — it is not a substitute for your own judgment. Before releasing any vehicle to any carrier or driver:

• Confirm the driver's identity in person using a government-issued photo ID.
• Verify the truck and trailer match the carrier's registered equipment.
• Confirm the DOT number displayed on the truck door matches the carrier's registration.
• Scan the driver's HaulBadge QR code if available.
• Trust your instincts — if something feels wrong, do not release the vehicle.

You may not use HaulBadge to:

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information or documents.
• Scrape, harvest, or bulk-download data from the platform.
• Impersonate another carrier or use another carrier's HaulBadge ID or QR code.
• Use the platform for any purpose that violates applicable law.
• Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation or security.

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. NO REFUNDS.

HaulBadge offers paid subscription plans (Pro at $9.99/month and Broker at $49/month) and one-time purchases (Pickup Sheet at $4.99 per sheet). By purchasing any paid plan or one-time product, you agree to the following:

• All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for any subscription payments, one-time purchases, or partial billing periods under any circumstances.
• 7-day free trial. Pro and Broker plans include a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your payment method will be automatically charged the applicable monthly rate. It is your responsibility to cancel before the trial period expires if you do not wish to be charged.
• Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation stops future billing but does not entitle you to a refund for any period already billed. You will retain access to paid features until the end of your current billing period.
• One-time purchases. Pickup Sheet credits ($4.99 per sheet) are non-refundable once purchased, regardless of whether the sheet was used.
• Price changes. HaulBadge reserves the right to change pricing at any time. We will provide notice of any price changes to active subscribers before they take effect.

Payment processing is handled exclusively by Stripe, Inc. HaulBadge does not collect, store, or process payment card information directly. All payment data — including credit card numbers, billing addresses, and bank account information — is collected and processed by Stripe in accordance with their terms of service and privacy policy. By making a payment on HaulBadge, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service available at stripe.com/legal and Stripe's Privacy Policy at stripe.com/privacy.

HaulBadge is not responsible for any issues arising from Stripe's payment processing, including but not limited to failed charges, declined cards, billing errors, unauthorized charges, or disputes. For payment-related issues, you may contact us at support@haulbadge.com and we will work with Stripe on your behalf where possible, but we cannot override or control Stripe's systems, decisions, or dispute processes.

If you believe a charge was made in error, contact us at support@haulbadge.com within 7 days of the charge. We will review the issue but are not obligated to issue refunds outside of circumstances required by applicable law.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Phunded LLC (operating as HaulBadge) and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. HAULBADGE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of HaulBadge after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email where possible.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
